Rachel is the CEO and Cofounder of Wethos, a platform that helps freelancers team up and form “Virtual Studios” by providing the financial infrastructure that simplifies complexities from pricing projects to paying teammates. A former advertising creative working across big brands like Covergirl and Hershey, Rachel Renock quit her agency job at 25 in pursuit of more meaningful work. She teamed up with her now cofounder Claire to build technology that helped them scale their own freelance studio to $1.4M in revenue in just 18-months. In 2021 they released their platform which now powers over 35,000 freelance businesses. Since founding Wethos, Renock has raised over $12M in VC funding and has been featured in Forbes, TechCrunch, Business Insider and the New York Times. With 95% of freelancers not breaking six figures, she’s excited to share tools and strategies that will help creative independents put more money into their pockets.
