As BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), we’ve been indoctrinated into a society that views us as passive recipients of design solutions largely led by cis-white men. Things are designed around us, and at best for us, as opposed to with us. And many of these initiatives have caused life altering and/or life threatening consequences.
In this talk, conference attendees will be brought into the world of equitable design through riveting case stories and design practices by highlighting the work of BIPOC technologists, creatives, artists who are creating equitable platforms, products, services and content.
